Agreement, operator, and language
DopeDB is operated by Jaesong Choi, an individual operator in the Republic of Korea. Questions about these terms can be sent to cjs5241@gmail.com.
By selecting a sign-in or consent action, or by using the authenticated hosted workspace service or a DopeDB-managed integration, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use those hosted features. Merely reading the public website or using open-source code under its repository license does not by itself create this agreement.
The Korean and English versions are intended to have the same meaning. If they conflict, the Korean version controls to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Eligibility, accounts, and workspace authority
- You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to agree to these terms, or use the service through an organization that has authorized you. If local law requires a higher age, that higher age applies.
- You must provide accurate account information, protect your devices and sessions, and promptly revoke access you no longer control.
- Workspace owners and administrators are responsible for membership, roles, connection grants, production approvals, and invitations. You may configure only cloud projects, databases, and other resources that you are authorized to administer or use.
Service scope
DopeDB provides a desktop database client, local Agent tooling, and an optional team workspace for sharing secretless connection templates, access policy, provider integrations, revisions, metadata backups, invitations, and audit events.
The hosted service does not replace database backups, provider audit logs, security review, incident response, or professional operational judgment. Features may change as the product and open-source project develop.
Database and production safety
Database queries and Agent output can be incorrect, destructive, incomplete, or unsuitable for production. You are responsible for reviewing SQL, scope, selected environment, credentials, backups, rollback plans, approvals, and execution results.
DopeDB safety gates reduce risk but do not guarantee that a query is safe or reversible. Production access should use least privilege, database-native controls, tested backups, and independent monitoring.
Agents and user-directed third parties
DopeDB connects to official Agent CLI software such as Codex and Claude. The applicable provider controls the Agent account and authentication. Depending on what you ask the Agent to do, your prompts and selected schema, query, result, or error context may be sent to that provider under its terms and privacy policy.
Google Cloud, Neon, PlanetScale, GitHub, and any other cloud or database provider you choose are also governed by their own terms. You must not submit data that you lack authority to disclose. DopeDB does not control third-party availability, output, retention, or policy changes and does not guarantee that Agent output is correct.
Acceptable use
- Do not access systems or data without authorization, bypass safety or approval controls, interfere with the service, probe another user's data, distribute malware, or use the service for unlawful activity.
- Do not upload secrets into fields intended for shared metadata or cause another workspace member to use credentials they did not receive lawfully.
- Do not misrepresent DopeDB, its security properties, or your authority over a connected resource.
Open source and user content
Rights to DopeDB source code are granted under the license included in the public repository. These service terms do not restrict those license rights. DopeDB names, logos, hosted services, and project materials outside that license remain protected by applicable law.
You retain rights in content and metadata you provide. You grant DopeDB only the permission necessary to host, process, secure, back up, and transmit that material to provide the service, comply with law, and follow your instructions. You represent that you have the rights needed to provide it.
Privacy and security
The Privacy Policy at https://dopedb.dev/privacy explains the personal information and service data processed by the public website, hosted workspace, desktop app, and optional integrations.
You are responsible for choosing appropriate workspace roles, database privileges, sharing settings, and provider permissions. Notify us promptly at the contact address if you believe an account or workspace has been compromised.
Availability and changes
The service is provided without a guaranteed uptime or support level. We may modify, suspend, rate-limit, or discontinue a feature for security, legal, operational, or product reasons.
When these terms materially change, the revised terms and effective date will be posted on this page, and additional notice will be provided when required by law. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only where applicable law permits.
Suspension, termination, and deletion
You may stop using the service and disconnect optional integrations at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, security risk, legal requirement, or conduct that threatens the service or other users. Where practicable, we will give notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
Stopping use or losing workspace access does not automatically delete every account or workspace record. Deletion and retention are handled as described in the Privacy Policy, and an authorized person may submit a verified deletion request.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or data preservation.
To the extent permitted by law, DopeDB and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, credentials, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, mandatory consumer rights, or any other responsibility that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory protections available under the law of your residence remain unaffected. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect, and failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
